Last Night's Meeting

Thank you to everyone who joined our volunteer team meeting last night. Below is a quick update on what we covered:

🔄 Review of Recent Activity

• We successfully completed three client deliveries since our last meeting.

• We received a hotel donation including tables, chairs, dinette sets, lamps, TVs, and kitchenware—currently stored at Metropolitan Moving and Storage. More to follow about this amazing opportunity.

📦 Inventory Adjustments

• Inventory has been updated to reflect:

  • Hotel items: We have tons of end tables, lamps, TVs, and housewares that came out of the hotel.

  • Purchased items: We continue to buy specific items, including beds, linens, and kit supplies.

• All client deliveries are now being staged at Acorn Storage. We will not be collecting donations in the parking lot anymore. We will continue to coordinate furniture deliveries of very specific types of furniture. We need kitchen and dining tables with chairs, as well as small couches, that are suitable for apartments.

🙌 Volunteer Opportunities: Randy Dyer has graciously agreed to serve as the volunteer coordinator. He is building teams around the below tasks, so keep an eye out for his emails.

• Client Deliveries – especially need younger volunteers, so please help us recruit! We are reaching out to church youth groups, Boy Scouts, and local high schools.

• Donation Pick-Up Team

• Kit Assembly Team

• Development Team

• Outreach
